I consult with leaders on various aspects of organizational and business development, including strategy, management, funding, program design, performance and more. My consulting clients have included large and mid-sized organizations in health care, human services, education and arts and culture.
I coach senior development, marketing, finance and program leaders on topics relating to managing up and down, productivity and time management, and communication strategies--all with a grounding in values, purpose, and a vision for the future.
Development Transition Consulting
In close partnership with organizational development specialist Bethany Wall, I help nonprofit organizations navigate through changes in development leadership. We seek to transform a moment of vulnerability into a period of strengthening by:
Assessing development assets and gaps to identify the qualities and skills needed in the next development leader.
Coaching executive directors, new development directors, senior management and line staff on transition challenges and professional growth areas.
Facilitating team meetings to foster open communication, set goals and build esprit de corps.
Supporting leaders and staff to avoid disruptions in workflow and potential burnout while keeping the trains running on time.
Leading and facilitating the search for a new development leader from start to finish based on assessment findings--with the goal of finding the right leader for the organization.
